I have
tried all of those ideas below and here are some more of my favorites...
I like
to add nuts, flax seeds, fresh or dried fruit and/or unsweetened coconut
to the yogurt, milk suggestion. Some great combinations are: Mango &
coconut; pineapple & coconut; blueberries & coconut; cranberries
& broiled apple; cranberries & broiled pear; raspberries &
coconut; blackberries & coconut; figs & coconut; banana &
all natural peanut butter; apricots, dates or raisins & coconut all
go well with the apple, date and raisin Heart thrives. I will eat this
for any meal or a smaller portion for a snack.
A similar idea to the apple crisp is to do it with a broiled apple or
pear, then you get a crisp, caramel sugar flavor as well.
I also make a custard, either from scratch or Bird's English custard,
and crumble the heart thrive, with microwaved apple, cranberries, nuts
and cinnamon into it.
For lunch I will make a spinach salad with either tofu, turkey or ham, a
fruit like the above options and then I crumble the heart thrive over
the top like croutons, but much healthier. I will use yogurt with
balsamic vinegar as a dressing instead of "normal" one.
For another dessert option I will mix 4 oz plain yogurt, soy yogurt or
silken tofu with a heart thrive and cocoa powder sweetened with splenda
or stevia. Very tasty!

I also tried a
Heart
Thrive. This time it was the raisin
flavor and it was so good! It was delicious alone and crumbled over
vanilla Greek yogurt + persimmon + cashew butter.

YUMMY
APPLE CRISP
Peel
and slice an apple, sprinkle with cinnamon and sucanat, microwave
for 2 minutes, then add half a crumbled heart thrive or suncake over
it (I used cranberry!), it makes an amazing cobbler type dessert! |
Similar to
the others, but I like to crumble desired amount of my suncake (cranberry
or apricot) into a small bowl, add sliced fresh strawberries or frozen
dark cherries, and pour unwhipped heavy cream over all. Yum! |
Cut the
heart thrive in half and put some low fat frozen yogurt or ice cream in
the middle and put it back together, wrap with plastic wrap and
refreeze. Enjoy !

| 5 minutes in a
toaster oven or 10 seconds in a microwave will bring out that just-baked
flavor and aroma! Mmmmm! |
Crumble into a bowl
of yogurt, milk or milk alternative for a hearty breakfast. |
I
mix a little brown sugar into cream cheese and spread on the
top of warmed heart thrives. |
| Satisfying with a cup
of your favorite hot beverage. |
Delicious with fresh
fruit, like strawberries or bananas. |
Spread with apple, pumpkin or nut butter. |
I'd
like to recommend that people do not microwave their suncakes. If
there are important amino acids in there (which I believe there are) the
microwaving will zap out virtually all of this kind of nutritional
content.
